“Out of the Net” (2020) is based on a video recording of the art performance “Kaya no Soto,” a collaboration between HANASAKI and Lily Ikeda at the group exhibition “The Testimony of Food: Ideas and Food“(2015) held at the Taipei Fine Arts Museum in Taiwan. Musician LLLL and Artist Adhari Donora join the group (The group is called KLAP, the initials of the four members) to create this video work with new text (poetry), music, and visual effects. The performance uses a 100-year-old indigo-dyed mosquito net from Fukushima and focuses on the chain of food culture and customs common to Asia. This video work is intended to have an international scope by dealing with cross-sea collaboration and multilingual texts at a time when the pandemic disaster is changing and restricting conventional ways of movement and exchange.

《Out of the Net 》（2020）は、2015年に台湾の台北市立美術館でおこなわれたグループ展「食物箴言:思想と食物」（2015）で、花崎草と池田リリィ茜藍がコラボレーションしたアート・パフォーマンス《蚊帳の外 / Kaya no Soto》の記録映像をもとに、音楽家のLLLL （フォーエル）、アーティストのアダリ・ドノラ（インドネシア）の頭文字をとってKLAPというグループで、新たなテキスト（詩）・音楽・映像効果をもって制作された動画作品です。 パフォーマンスには、約100年物の福島の藍染の蚊帳や餅などが使用され、アジアに共通する食文化と風習に焦点をあてた内容となっています。また、パンデミック禍でこれまでの移動や交流のあり方が変化・制限されている最中、海を越えたコラボレーションや多言語のテキストを扱うことで、国際的な広がりをもった映像作品となることが意図されいています。
